Obituary for Michael "Lil' Mike" Miller

Brandon Michael Miller, age 36, of Scurry/Irving, Texas, died August 9, 2014 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born on May 26, 1978 in Euless, Texas, the son of Mike Miller and Martha Pannel Crayton. Michael is survived by his father, Big Mike, and stepmother, Elizabeth Miller, Bridget Miller (sister) (nephews, Will & J.D. Fehlau), Brandi Miller (sister) (nieces, Tristen Toms, Haley & Jun Beck), Taylor Bailey & Bryan Raley (sister & brother in-law) (niece, Parker), Cody & Amanda Bailey (brother & sister in-law) (nieces, Reese Kay & Penn), numerous cousins and extended family, as well as, an abundance of friends. Michael was preceded in death by his Mother, Martha Ann Pannel Crayton, Otis and Doloris Miller (paternal grandparents), Jack Pannel (maternal grandfather) and Donald and Nell Brown (grandparents). Michael worked for Verizon for 20 years. He loved the company and the people he worked with. Michael had a big heart with a magnetic smile. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it and had a passion for life and everything in it. He loved golfing, hunting, fishing and Wild Turkey, but most of all, he loved his friends and family. His love for animals lead him to donate time and money to the SPCA, and rescued as many animals as he could. Michael's visitation will be at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home in Irving, Texas, on Friday, August 15th from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at Oak View Baptist Church on Saturday, August 16th at 2pm. Graveside services will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting all donations go to SPCA or any Autism Foundation of your choice, in remembrance of Michael. Those serving as Active Pallbearers: Phillip Amundson, Billy King, Damon Corliss, Chad Burgess, Michael Hernandez, and John Hill. Those named as Honorary Pallbearers: Jason Cook, Jacob Michael Hernandez, Kevin Newman, Khalid Matrood, Bryan Debrick, and Chad Marcus.
