Obituary for Margaret Mary "Marge" Porche (Cozy)

Margaret M. Porche, 70; Devoted Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, passed on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Marge was born on February 21, 1945 and adopted in 1951 by John and Helen Cozy.
" The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are" - Joseph Campbell.
There are many words that could be used to describe Marge, but none could truly capture her eccentric, gentle, and tenacious nature. As a lover of animals, she dedicated her life to befriending and showing kindness, tenderness, and respect to any and all who crossed her path. She has rescued cats from dog’s mouths and charmed kittens from trees; squared off with a confused blind dog and persistently talked her husband into sharing their lives and home with animals no one seemed to want or care for. As time wore on, her generosity became a way of life; a life of giving, instead of taking. Marge donated her money and possession’s in hopes of lifting another's burden, even if only for a moment. Family was the most important part of her life. She cherished every moment with the ones she loved; husband, children, and grandchildren. Even though her life seemed to be full of hardships, she chose to live fully, spiritually, and passionately.
Marge is survived by her husband, Levy Porche; Daughters, Tammy Fayette and Amy Porche; Son, Jon Porche; five Grandchildren, BreAnne, Ben, Olivia, Addyson, and Bethany; Son-in-law, Robert Fayette; Daughter-in-law, Aleah Porche; Son-in-law, James Tosspon; Pets, Olyver and Ranger; and many more who loved her during her lifetime. She was preceded in death by her Parents, John and Helen Cozy.
Memorial service will be Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd, Irving, Texas, 75061. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Hospital at www.stjude.org/donatenow and wounded soldiers at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
