Thomas Ives Nunn passed away November 14, 2015 at the age of 83. He was born to Gertrude and Sam Nunn in Hartford, Connecticut on October 7, 1932. Thomas moved to Big Spring, Texas at the age of 17 and from that point on he considered himself a Texan. He proudly served his country for eight years in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. After his service in the Navy he worked as an appraiser for HUD for 25 years and then another ten years as an Independent Fee Appraiser. Thomas married Joyce (JoJo) Nunn on December 27, 1958 and they enjoyed 56 wonderful years together. He is preceded in death by his parents, his half-brothers Henry, Fred, Harold and Edward Olson; and half sister Karen Sprague. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Joyce Nunn, daughter Stephanie Pierro, son-in-law Steve Pierro and his grandchildren Tyler and Holly Pierro and his many nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service with military honors will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. The family will receive friends at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and requests memorial donations to National Parkinson Foundation at www.parkinson.org or 200 SE 1st Street, Suite #800, Miami, FL 33131.
