Obituary for Leobardo "Leo" Sifuentes

Leobardo “Leo” Sifuentes, age 73, long time Irving Resident, previously of Dallas, died January 23, 2016. He was born in Taft, Texas to Tomas Sifuentes and Juanita (Campos) Sifuentes on July 11, 1942. Leo was an artist, loved fishing at the lake, working sudoku puzzles, playing pool and tennis, but enjoyed all sports. In 1997, after 30 years of service, he retired from the United States Postal service; after retirement Leo returned to postal service, working part time for the City of Irving, delivering mail to different departments. Leo was a blessing and will be missed by the Holy Family Catholic Church, where he did part time maintenance work. He is preceded in death by his Parents; son Leo Sifuentes; brothers Antonio and Alex Sifuentes and nephews Thomas Sifuentes, Richards Valdez and Manuel Vasquez. Left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss is loving wife of 52 years, Eutenia “Teri” Sifuentes; daughters Regina Eaton and husband Patrick, Raquel Black and husband Gerard; Michelle Martin and husband Thomas; grandchildren Christopher Eaton, Destiny Higgins and husband Hayden, Addison Martin, Ty Martin, Wyatt Martin, Austin Black, Ryan Black and Clayton Black; great grandchild Annabelle Higgins; sisters Marcelina Sanchez and Nelda Molina; brothers Tomas Sifuentes, Leopolo Sifuentes and Robert Sifuentes. A memorial service to celebrate Leo’s life will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home.
