David “Dave” English, age 93, the last living of 11 siblings, died Friday, March 25, 2016. Born in Irving, Texas on November 10, 1922 to Andrew Jackson and May Andrew Mabel (Williams) English. Dave proudly served in the US Navy, during WW2; later in life he enjoyed a 48 year career with Austin Industries, retiring in 1995. He is preceded in death by his wife Betty, son David, both parents, and ten brothers and sisters. Left to carry in his legacy is son Randall English and wife Cathy, of Itasca; daughter Charlotte Taylor and husband Guy, of Ben Wheeler; daughter Brenda Horton and husband Issac, of Ben Wheeler; daughter Chris Evans and Husband Terry, of Irving; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Grace Pointe Church, followed by a committal with military honors at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, March 28, 2016, between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm, at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home.
