George L. Swanson of Irving passed away August 14, 2016. He was born on June 13,1930 in Chicago, Illinois to George and Lillian (Slouch) Swanson. He served his Country in The United States Navy and later worked in management for the Texas Department of Human Services. George was a member of Kirkwood United Methodist Church in Irving. He is preceded in death by his parents and son Daniel Almanza. Left to cherish his memory are wife Adela Swanson of Irving; sons Matthew and Anthony Almanza and six grandchildren and all the generations of the Montano family. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Preston Weaver officiating. Internment with military honors will be held at 12:30 pm at Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
