Sylvia Roberts of Irving passed away October 4, 2016. She was born on June 30, 1943 in Cornett, Texas. Sylvia will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and friend to many. She was a member of The Seventh Day Adventist Church since 1968 serving in the Cradle Roll Department which was her passion and as church treasurer; she also belonged to Phi Theta Kappa; and was a member of Al-Anon since 1989 where she held numerous service positions. She leaves behind to cherish her memory husband Roy Roberts of Irving; son Mark Steven Roberts of Irving; half-brothers Jerry Wall of Hooks, Texas; Gary Lynn Wall of Mount Sterling, Kentucky; Michael Wall and Wife Linda of Red Lick, Texas; and Gary Don Wall of Mount Sterling, Kentucky; half-sisters J. Sue Burton and husband Terry of Mount Sterling, Kentucky; Patsy Wall of Hooks, Texas; several half nieces and nephews, cousins and numerous special friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roger Wazoua officiating. Interment will follow at Noon on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Myrtle Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Hooks, Texas.
