Condolences

Condolence From: Kenneth & Denise Followwill
Condolence: "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart." Ellie touched so many hearts in her lifetime, from childhood friends, co-workers, family, to mere acquaintances. So many of us were fortunate to be blessed by her sweet spirit and contagious laugh. You will be missed, but you leave us with a memory that no one can steal. Ginny, when your heart grieves over what you have lost, may Ellie's spirit rejoice over what it has left.

Condolence: Ellie was smart, fun to be with and loved life. We grew up in the same neighborhood so Ellie and Ginny have been a part of my life for a long time. Ellie is an amazing person who I greatly admire because she was so strong and brave. She fought her disease for as long as she could. She will be missed by so many. Ginny you were her Rock no one will miss her more. Your loss is unfathomable and I can only offer my sympathy. Your good memories and love of Ellie will remain and live on. Words are inadequate for what I am feeling and wanting to express to you right now, but I do want you to know I am thinking of you and will be calling you soon.

Condolence From: Nancy Cleary
Condolence: I have known Ellie my entire life as we grew up in the same neighborhood. So whenever I think of my childhood Ellie will always be there. I will never forget all the warm summer days that we had shower parties at her house, playing hide and seek, jumping rope, bike riding and just being happy kids. In later years during her visits to Boston, we all had many laughs over our glasses of wine as we talked about the good old days, what we were planning to do next, and, of course, our beloved pets. Ellie was a very special woman who loved life and all little creatures. Her spirit will be greatly missed. Ginny, you have been such a devoted sister and my heart goes out to you at this time of great loss. I pray that your memories of Ellie will help you get through these difficult days. Jack and I send you our love. Love you, Nancy

Condolence From: Kathy and Stan Campbell
Condolence: I have known Ellie for over 50 years. Ellie, Ginny and I worked at the Hilton in Boston when we were mere children! We became close friends and have kept in touch all these years. Stan and I enjoyed a great trip to Dallas many years ago and I have been back since unfortunately only once and not since Ellie became so ill. The best part is that they always wanted to come back to Boston -- Ellie loved her New England roots and lobster and especially fried clams from the Cream & Cone on Cape Cod. Yum. I'll miss you Ellie. You're at peace now - no more pain. Ginny, you're an amazing sister. I love you both. Kathy

Condolence: Who would have thought that when your dad and Aunt Dottie fell in love that we would be so lucky to acquire 2 such wonderful cousins? You and Ellie always added a spark to family gatherings and we were and are richly blessed to have had her and continue to have you in our lives. She will forever remain in our hearts. You were steadfast by her side. You are amazing.

Condolence From: The Lemmons Co.
Condolence: Ginny, We want you to know that Ellie was always in our heart. She was kind to everyone and never resisted helping in any way she could. We loved her as a co-worker and we loved her as a friend who looked out for us all. I always enjoyed seeing Ellie come in with what seemed to be a new pin on her lapel every day. She enjoyed going to estate sales and finding treasures. Ellie was our weather monitor at work! She would keep us posted on any storms coming and it makes me smile to think of her and pass by her desk. Ellie was a joy to work with and have as a friend.

Condolence: Ellie was a sweet, loyal, and feisty lady whom I had the honor to work with for 20+ years at The Lemmons Co.. never shy to express her likes, Ellie was a person that was dependable and trustworthy. She loved cats. For the company’s annual gift exchange she gave up a rolling soft-cover suitcase imprinted with cats. The company had such a good time laughing over who was going to wind up with Eiilie’s Famous cat bag. To this day, and for the last twenty years, her cat bag is still wrapped up as a surprise for the lucky person who selects it - in Ellie’s memory. Ellie was loved and will be ,issued.

Condolence From: Regina & Rick Warner and Family
Condolence: Ellie will always hold a special place in our hearts, as she was part of our family by choice not lineage. Both of our adult sons grew up knowing her as "Aunt Ellie" and already miss her greatly. Ellie will live forever in our hearts and memories. Our deepest condolences are with Ginny, especially during this time of "goodbye for now." We will love you always.

Condolence: Ellie was such a wonderful lady who taught me how to rescue our third and fourth cats, who originally were intended to go to DFW Humane Society once rescued. But once we rescued them we couldn't let them go. If it weren't for Ellie we wouldn't have had these two wonderful babies in our life. I hope Dowd and Bella were there to welcome Ellie when she passed and was finally relieved of her pain. There are so many sweet animals that were helped and loved by Ellie and she gave so much to the work she loved with animals. I still pass by Ellie's desk at work and even though she retired to me it was still "Ellie's desk". The empty desk now seems even more sad than it was before.

Condolence: I was lucky enough to be with Ellie many years, both at DFW Humane Society and later helping her take care of her very loved Wally. Ellie was an amazing woman who lived her life to the fullest. We talked for hours about her adventures, the famous people she knew and her love for all animals. She would ask me every week about the cats at the shelter. Thank God she is no longer suffering with her pain and her inability to do the things she loved. I know Heaven is a better more lively place with you in it. Every time I have a glass of wine I will toast you dear friend.
