Obituary for Bradford Wayne McCurry

Brad McCurry went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 25, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of eighty-three. He was born on November 27, 1938, to parents, Odell, and Ethel McCurry in Wapanucka, Oklahoma. Brad proudly served in the United States Airforce from 1956 to 1960 as a Radar Specialist stationed in Indian Mountain, Alaska. He then went on to work for the Container Corporation in Fort Worth, Texas from 1960 until his retirement in 2004. Brad married the love of his life Pat and enjoyed dancing with her in their younger days. He was a huge fan of the Texas Rangers baseball team. Brad was a faithful member of St. Paul United Methodist in Hurst, Texas for 20 years where he preformed as an usher and work maintenance for the church. Above all Brad loved his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. If there was a baby in the room, Brad would beat all to hold the baby and sometimes even play a trick or two to ensure this. He also loved to travel and took the family on awesome vacations throughout the years.

Brad is met in heaven by his father, Austin Odell McCurry; mother, Ethel (Cooper) McCurry; and siblings: Wendell, and Reba. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 63 years, Pat McCurry; daughter, Cheryl Thompson and husband Joe; son, Kevin McCurry and wife Ginger; son, Greg McCurry; daughter, Myra Watson and husband Charlie; brother, Larry McCurry and wife Beverly; brother, Jerry McCurry; grandchildren: Courtney, Tyler, Kati, Crystal, Haley, Anthony, and Andrew; great grandchildren: Logan, Austin, and Scarlett; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other loving friends and family who will miss Brad dearly.
