Obituary for Carol Condor Ayles

Carol Condor Ayles, 82 a resident of Irving for 48 years, passed away June 28, 2022. She was born on May 1, 1940, in Dallas, Texas to C. Kyle Condor and Alynn (McRoberts) Condor. Carol grew up in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas. After graduating from W. H. Adamson High School and later graduating from East Texas State University leading to her career as a teacher in the Irving Independent School District. She worked as a physical education teacher and was the safety patrol coordinator at W. T. Hanes Elementary in Irving. Carol was a faithful member of First united Methodist Church of Irving for 50 years, where she was a member of the Pathfinder’s Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the church travel club and volunteered for the DFW Ambassadors for 15 years. Carol enjoyed playing tennis and softball and was known for her extensive and cherished Snoopy and Peanuts Character’s collection which was her pride and joy. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 50 years, Earl M. Ayles; sister Dr. Susan Howell and brother-in-law Roy Howell. Left behind to cherish Carol’s memory are daughter Christie Ayles; son Eric Ayles and wife Stacey; grandchildren Erica Ayles; Marshall Ayles; Randall Free; Victoria Free; Zoe Kelley; nieces Jody Foster; Jennifer Brooksher; Ara Hardig and Wendi Lojo; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Rudy and Tommie Lynn Ayles and dear friend Debrah Coward. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am to 10:00 am one hour prior to the funeral service beginning at 10:00 am at The First United Methodist Church of Irving at 311 West Third Street. Interment will follow at Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas at 6300 South R. L. Thornton Freeway.
