Carol Sue Owens passed away July 31, 2022, in Arlington, Texas at the age of 86. She was born on February 26, 1936, in St. Louis, Mo to parents Cecil and Mertie Lightfoot. Carol was a homemaker and also worked as a bookkeeper in the manufacturing industry. In her spare time Carol loved to quilt and sew. She loved most of all spending time with her family and getting the chance to spoil her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren who lovingly called her gram or granny. Carol will always be remembered as a loving mother, gram, granny, and friend.

Carol is preceded in death by her loving husband Odell Owens; father, Cecil Lightfoot; mother, Mertie Linda Lightfoot; brothers: William Lightfoot and Richard Lightfoot; and sisters: Mary Lee Harris, and Joyce Chalfant. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Sherri Shaffer and husband Gary; son, Jeff Owens and wife Dena; step daughter, Charon Minter; granddaughter, Tarron Peterson; granddaughter, LaRonda Dunlap and husband Bill; granddaughter, Jill Shafer and husband Greg; grandson, Cade Shaffer; granddaughter, Katie Vasquez and husband Ray; granddaughter, Kim Balderas and husband Guillermo; eleven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister, Nita Williamson and husband Wayne; as well as numerous other family and friends who will miss Carol dearly.
