Obituary for Carolyn Rhea Cooper

Carolyn Rhea Cooper, 73, of Forney Texas, passed away on June 18, 2023, after a fierce battle with Dementia.

Carolyn was born on October 1, 1949, to Thomas Earl and Adeline Rhea Futch, in Irving, Texas. She graduated from Irving High School in 1968. After graduating high school, she went on to Secretarial School in Dallas, Texas. While in school, she married David Grant Cooper, whom she had been dating since meeting in the band years before, they moved to Arlington, bought a home, and started a family. Carolyn and David went on to have one child, a daughter, Angela Rhea Cooper Young.

In 1986, Carolyn unexpectedly lost her beloved husband, David. Carolyn continued working as an Engineer at Vought (later Lockheed Martin), until she retired. She then worked for a private practice as an Administrative Assistant.

She moved to Aurora, Colorado, and quickly made Colorado her home for many years. She loved the cold, and the mountains.

After permanently retiring from Agilent Technologies in Colorado, she moved back to Arlington to be near her family. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, Hallmark Movies, Crime shows, reading mysteries, traveling, Harry Potter and El Fenix.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, David, her parents, Thomas Earl and Adeline, her sister, Joyce Ann Wommack, and her in-laws Herbert and Pat Cooper.

She is survived by her daughter, Angie (son in law -Jason Bumpus), Brother, Thomas Futch (sister-in-law- Sheree) and four Grandchildren. David Young (wife-Gabbo), J. Bailey Young, Kaitlin Young and Delaney Bumpus. Nephews, David Wommack, T.J. Wommack, Cory Cooper, Dereck Futch, Landon Futch, and Nieces- Julie Cooper Weninger and Andrea Futch.
