Columbia D. Rosas was welcomed home by The Lord on November 16, 2019. Columbia was born on January 16, 1953 in Saginaw, Michigan to Julian T. Rosas and Margaret (Zamora) Rosas. She enjoyed family gatherings visiting with her family while having her favorite danish & coffee. She loved her Lord and was the stich that held her family together. Columbia had a passion for music and continued to play the piano after she lost her sight to glaucoma. Columbia passed her love of music to her grandchildren who will carry on her legacy. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who never lost her spirit for life even when the odds were against her. She is preceded in death by her father, Julian Rosas; husband Rudy Olivarez; and sister Gloria Noel. She leaves behind to cherish her memory daughter Cristina Young and husband Michael; son Cory Rosas; daughter Dawn Parks and husband Steven; grandchildren Fabian Rosas; Aaron Rosas; Eric Rosas; Jazmine Parks; Giovanni Parks and a host of extended family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at Noon on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens at 1413 E. Irving Blvd., Irving, Texas.
