Damian F. Hellman was born March 31, 1934 in Gainesville, TX to Rudy and Alice Hellman. He married Bernice Henscheid of Muenster, TX on December 26th, 1954. After completing his military duty at Camp Hanford.in Pasco, WA, the young family moved to Lubbock, TX where Damian earned his degree in Dairy Science from Texas Tech University in 1958. The family later established their home in Irving, TX where Damian spent many years as a sales representative for dairy related products, retiring in 2002. His customers became his lifelong friends.

Damian is survived by Bernice, his faithful and loving wife of 66 years, his four children: Kevin (Jennie) of Katy, TX, Linda Wilburn of Irving, TX, Donald (Susan) of Colleyville, TX, and Joel (Stacey) of Colleyville, TX. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, two brothers Dr. W.L. Hellman (Doris) of Dallas, Joe (Della) Hellman of Muenster, TX and sister Gretchen Syverson of Bella Vista, AR and many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

Damian's favorite weekends were spent at the family’s lake house at Moss Lake in Gainesville, TX where he enjoyed fishing and water sports. Damian and Bernice also enjoyed traveling the world and exploring many different countries together. He enjoyed entertaining in his home. Everyone was always welcome.
