Obituary for Debra Gayle Hutson

Debra Gayle Holland Huston was born on March 27, 1952, in Fairfield, Texas to Emma Clare Johnson Holland and W.V. Holland. She passed away peacefully in Hospice care on July 6, 2022.

When she was 18 months old, the family relocated to Dallas, Texas. Debra attended L. O. Donald Elementary School, Stockard Junior High, and graduated from Justin F. Kimbell High School. After high school, Debbie worked in retail and made her own way in the world.

Debbie married Billy Hutson in 1971 and they began their family, welcoming Emily and then Todd. As well as being a great homemaker and mom, she worked for many years as a pre-school teacher and was an influence in preparing children for public school.

She enjoyed making hand crafted hooked rugs, cooking, family, and traveling. She was an excellent cook, and her home was a warm and happy gathering place for family and friends.

Debbie is survived by her devoted husband of more than 50 years, Billy Hutson; daughter, Emily Dunn and husband Nathan; son, Todd Hutson and wife, Jennifer; sister Rosemary Clay; grandchildren Torri and Avery Hutson; Kaitlyn and Kason Dunn; sister-in-law Joanna Goforth, several nieces and nephews and many friends.

The family requests that contributions be made to the American Kidney Foundation, the American Liver Foundation or the charity of your choice.
