Obituary for Donald J. Davis

Donald J. Davis an Irving, Texas resident since 1971 passed away on July 6, 2022, at the age of seventy-four. He was born on September 17, 1947, in Sulphur Springs, Texas to parents Deloris Ineta and Joe Wayne Davis. Donald married Terry Ragain on March 31, 1967. Donald proudly served his country in the United States Airforce as Staff Sargent until 1971. After his service in the Airforce Donald got his Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Engineering from Dallas Baptist University and MBA in Engineering Management from University of Dallas, Graduate School of Management and worked as a computer engineer for several companies, retiring from Hewlett Packard as a project manager. Donald will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Donald is preceded in death by his first wife, Terry, his mother, Ineta Reppond Davis, and father, Joe Wayne Davis. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Marina Ostrander; son, Donald Joe Davis, Jr. and wife Sally; son, Roger Wayne Davis and wife Trudy; daughter, Christina Elizabeth Hutchison and husband Douglas; sister, Brenda Snyder and husband Keith; brother, Bennie Davis and wife Mary; brother in law, Mike Ragain and wife Melanie; sister in law, Debbie Grimm and husband Jon; grandchildren: Maddie, Jake, Riley, and Truman; great grandchild, Easton; nieces and nephews: Meg, Matt, Megan, Samantha, Jillian, and Hunter; as well as numerous other family and friends who will miss Donald dearly.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 9:00a.m. thru 10:00a.m. at Custer Road United Methodist Church at 6601 Custer Road, Plano, Texas.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Custer Road United Methodist Church.

Graveside will be held at 1:00p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Weaver Cemetery 8743 US-67 Saltillo Texas 75478.

In lieu of flowers family ask that donations be made to the Weaver Cemetery Association. Donations can be sent to Weaver Cemetery Association at P.O. Box 21, Saltillo, Tx 75478.
