Obituary for Glen Reno

Glen Reno passed away December 22, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of ninety-four. He was born June 2, 1927, in Handley, Texas to parents Clarence and Lola Reno. Glen proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1945 thru 1951 as a V-6 (Fireman). After his service in the Military Glen went to work for Vinson Supply in Dallas retiring after 30 plus years in 1982. For the last 30 years Glen served as Quarter Master, Post Commander, and many other positions and responsibilities with the VFW Post #2494. Above all Glen will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Glen is preceded in death by his loving wife Mollie Vonciel “Von” Reno, father, Clarence E. Reno, and mother, Lola (Lucas) Reno. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Dennis Reno, and wife Susan; daughter, Glenda Plane Curry, and husband James; grandchildren: Stacie Martinez and husband Eddie, Dennis Reno, Jr. and wife Kathy, and Heather Maxson; five great grandchildren: Cole, Madelyn, Baily, Bryce, and Holly; as well as numerous other family and friends who will miss Glen dearly.

A visitation for Glen will be held from 10:00a.m. thru 11:00a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home 707 North MacArthur Blvd. Irving, Texas 75061.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home 707 North MacArthur Blvd. Irving, Texas 75061.

Graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 10:15a.m. Monday, January 3, 2022, at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy Dallas, Texas 75211. Please line up in Lane 2

Celebration of Life held at VFW Post 2494 located at 1401 N. Beltline Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75050 on January 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM
