Obituary for Jeanette Parks Oxford

Jeanette Parks Oxford of Irving, Texas passed away on January 15, 2022 and now resides in the arms of her Heavenly Father. Born in Denton, Texas on June 19, 1937 to Cole Parks and Mary Legett Parks, Jeanette graduated from Denton High School in 1955. She graduated from North Texas State University in 1959, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration. Jeanette married William F. (Bill) Oxford of Denton in September 1956, eventually settling in Irving. She worked as an office manager in the orthodontic and dental professions for many years and following that, enjoyed her job as a boutique sales associate at Stein Mart. A lifetime member of the IISD PTA, Jeanette was also active in the Dallas County Pharmaceutical Society's Women's Auxiliary, Irving Christian Women's Club and her Tuesday bridge group. She was also a long-time volunteer at Baylor Medical Center Irving.

Jeanette is survived by son Todd Oxford of Austin and daughter and son-in-law Wendy and Harold Turner of Atlanta, Georgia. She is also survived by beloved grandchildren Madeleine and Austin Turner, sisters Jeanice Montgomery, Gwynn Williams and Susan Phenix, and many dear nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 25, 2022 at Woodhaven Presbyterian Church, 3650 North O’Connor Road, Irving, Texas 75062. Family committal service to occur at Roselawn Cemetery in Denton, Texas after a reception at the church following the memorial service.
