Jerry Lynn Edwards Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Jerry Lynn Edwards passed away on Sunday, February, 12th 2023 and joined his father Delbert Edwards, mother Lou Dell Edwards, older brother Maurice Edwards, twin brother Terry Edwards, and younger brother Robert Edwards. A gracious, loving and handsome man with a wonderful sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye, he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Jerry was born in Irving Texas on July 17, 1945 to Delbert and Lou Dell Edwards. After graduating from Irving High School, Jerry and his brothers started Edwards Flooring Company where they thrived for years. Jerry met Judy Grabeel and married at the age of 22 they had one son Chad Edwards. Later in life Jerry met Brenda Jester Lachney and her daughter Jessica Lachney and remarried. Jerry was married to Brenda for 25 loving years. After making a career change Jerry went to work for two previous employees Tim Watkins and Jody Skaggs who went off on a new adventure of their own with their flooring company Vector Concepts where he finished out his career. He met many friends at work and anywhere he went. He loved to talk, laugh, and tell old stories. Jerry spent most of his life in Little Elm Texas and Irving Texas. Brenda treasures the great times they had together on the dance floor, the fantastic vacations and trips they took together. They were blessed with good children and grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He was so very proud of his Son, Chad. Jerry treated Brendas daughters Jessica Ayala and Jackie Kelly like his own kids Jerry had a very strong passion for football and all other sports and could talk your ear off about it. He would also throw a few dollars at the horse races. In the later years he loved to spend time at the horse track having fond memories of his twin brother Terry Edwards where he got the passion for horses from. Fiercely proud of his Texas heritage watching and going to State track meets at Texas University.

Jerry is survived by his loving family members: his wife of 25 years, Brenda Edwards; son, Chad Edwards; and step daughter: Jessica Lachney Ayala; along with numerous grandchildren and extended family.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 in the chapel at Ben F Brown Funeral Home, starting at promptly 1:30p.m. 707 N MacArthur Blvd, Irving, TX 75061

Directly following the funeral will be a grave side service at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
