John Joseph Sprufera
October 30, 1929 – April 6, 2022
John was a proud veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his years of service, John retired Vice President of Labor Relations after 53 years with American Airlines. He found joy as an avid golfer, and seasoned world traveler with his beloved wife, Marilyn. As a faithful Catholic, John was a benefactor of Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church.
John is predeceased by his wife, Marilyn Sprufera and daughter, Jean Farrell. His parents, Thomas Sprufera and Catherine Sprufera. His siblings, Thomas Sprufera and Catherine Hassett.
John is survived by a loving family of children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Children, John Sprufera and partner Diana Kunz. Ellen and Howard Maguire. Michael and June Sprufera. Barbara and Brent Ruggles. Anthony and Lisa Sprufera. Frank and Jean Sprufera. Grandchildren, Michelle Sprufera, Candice Strieb, Ryan Maguire, Alissa Smith, Amber Bohelski, Jessica Grady, Kaitlin Smith, Meghan Vartanian, Anthony Sprufera, Michael Sprufera, Patrick Farrell, Joshua Sprufera, and Emily Ruggles. And an additional 12 great grandchildren.
John will be greatly missed by a lifetime of friends, family, and loved ones. We ask that those close to John enjoy a cold beer in his honor.
