Josie Yanez passed on December 20, 2022 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 62. She was born to parents Rudy and Sally Garza on November 23, 1960 in Haskell, Texas. Josie loved to shop, travel, and to spend her down time watching her favorite true crime show Dateline. She loved spending time with her family especially when it came to spending time with her grandchildren. Above all Josie will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Josie is preceded in death by her father, Rudy Rodrigues Garza, mother, Sally Guerrero Garza, brother, Rudy Garza, Jr., brother, David Garza, and daughter, Geneive Garza. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Fermin Jimenez; daughter, Erika Torres and husband Rene; son, Emmanuel DeHoyos and wife Candice Stockton; sister, Delia Esquibel; brother, Randy Garza and wife Sheila; brother, Leonard Garza; grandchildren: Adrian Garza, Natalie Torres, Trinity Cheatham, Peyton Cheatham, Kali Torres, Ezabella DeHoyos, Catarina DeHoyos, and Naomi Fuentes; as well as numerous other family and friends who will miss Josie dearly.

A Rosary will be recited at 2:00p.m. Friday, December 30, 2022 at Brown’s Memorial Chapel 707 N. MacArthur Blvd. Irving, Texas 75060. Immediately following the Rosary, a memorial service will be held in the Brown’s Chapel to honor Josie.
