Obituary for Lonnie Mike Green
Lonnie Mike Green “Paw Paw” passed away March 11, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones, in Irving, Texas at the age of 74. He was born on May 8, 1947, in Checotah, Oklahoma to parents Lewis and Lucille Green. He was the second of seven children. Lonnie proudly serviced his country in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer or as he jokingly recalled a “Mop Pusher”. Lonnie retired from his service in the Army as a SP4 (Specialist E-4). After his service Lonnie went on to becoming a vending machine operator for 30 years refilling snacks and sodas. He was so full of energy and was a prankster who never met a stranger. When Lonnie was younger, he took in stray animals and, in his adult, life he helped anyone that needed it. Lonnie’s favorite hobbies was “Whatever Grandkids Wanted to Do” and Paw Paw always did it! He loved his family, but more importantly he loved his grandchildren and enjoyed his grandchildren’s hobbies just to spend more time with him.
Lonnie is proceeded in death by his parents, Mr., and Mrs. Lewis E. Green; brother, Ted L. Green; and brother Jack E. Green. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Theresa Jones-Utley, and husband Denny; son, Jerome Mike Green; grandson, Justin Russell, and wife Amanda; grandson, Dalton Jones, and wife Lacy; son, Charlie Taylor; grandson, Ethan Taylor; brother, Billy Green, and wife Debbie; brother, Tony Green, and wife Pamela; sister, Dolores Blanchett, and husband Charles; sister, Doris Green; as well as numerous other family and friends who will miss Lonnie dearly.
A visitation will be held from 5:00p.m. thru 7:00p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home 707 North MacArthur Blvd. Irving, Texas 75061.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home 707 North MacArthur Blvd. Irving, Texas 75061.
Immediately following the funeral service, a graveside will be at Oak Grove Memorial Park 1413 E. Irving Blvd. Irving, Texas 75060.
