Obituary for Malcolm "Mac" McGee

Malcolm “Mac” McGee born in Randolph, TX on July 6, 1931, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 15, 2021.
He is survived by his wife Jeannie of Irving, TX; son, Michael Ray McGee of Irving; daughters Cora Earlene Giddens and husband Brian of Irving, and Nancy Simpson of Irving; grandchildren, Christina Gause and partner Becky Brey, Grace McGee Harmon and husband Ryan, Jordan Giddens; great granddaughter Leila Grace McGee and her mother Nancy Montoya. He is preceded in death by his father, Edgar R. McGee; mother, Liddy Grace McGee; grandsons, Cameron McGee and Harris McGee; brother, J.R. McGee.
Malcolm served in the United States Army during the Korean era. He went on to work at the Great American Reserve Insurance Group as Vice President supervising the group life & health department. He retired after 25 years of service when the company was sold and went on to pursue other endeavors one of which was teaching insurance classes at Leonard’s in Arlington. He also had many FLMI and LOMA certifications. Malcolm was an active member at Plymouth Park United Methodist Church in Irving, teaching Sunday school and Bible classes. He also loved being a Boy Scout Leader.
A memorial service for the family will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. at Brown’s Memorial Funeral home located at 707 N. MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX 75061. A private family inurnment will be at a later date and time at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, TX.
