Sherri “Mimi” Jacks passed away on July 23, 2022, in Dallas, Texas at the age of eighty. She was born on June 2, 1942, to parents, George and Amelia Blanton in Tucson, Arizona. Sherri spent her career as a trainer in advertising working for Verizon for 33 years until her retirement in 2013. She was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and loved all his music. Sherri neve missed an episode of “The Price Is Right” and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Sherri who was affectionately called “Mimi” was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed greatly.

Sherri is preceded in death by her father, George Anthony Blanton; mother, Amelia Miller; and sister, Beverly Rockliffe. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Kimberly Jacks; daughter, Wendi Vernon, and husband David; grandchildren: Keith Vernon and wife Mindy, Holly King and husband Andrew, Katie Vernon, and Zachary Vernon; as well as numerous other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Oak Grove Memorial Park 1413 E. Irving Blvd. Irving, Texas 75060.
