Michael Brent Parra, 41, was a dedicated father who loved to cook, fish, and spend time socializing with his family and friends. Michael lost a battle with alcoholism and passed away peacefully in his Southlake, Texas home on January 14, 2021.
From a young age, Michael had a generous spirit. Born February 22, 1979 to Tim and Betty Jo “BJ” Parra in Irving, Texas, he was extremely well known and liked throughout the community. After meeting the love of his life, Alexa Corbin Parra, in high school, he started his family young and adored his three children: Michaela, Beck, and Bodie Parra.
Finding peace in nature, Michael could often be found fishing, dirt biking, skiing, and hunting with his dogs. He most enjoyed watching his boys play sports and was also a known enthusiast for his Halloween decorations. Michael was loved by so many and never let an opportunity pass to let his scares or humor bring a smile to others.
Michael graduated from MacArthur High School in Irving class of 1997. In 1999, he relocated to Southlake and enjoyed the community and Dragon sports for the past 22 years. Michael’s early career was working for the family dealership, Frank Parra Autoplex, and years later, he co-founded and was a managing partner at High Definition Logistics.
Michael is preceded in death by his grandfather Frank Parra; and grandmothers Jackie Parra and Carolyn Baughn. Left to cherish very loving memories of Michael: daughter Michaela Parra; sons Beck Parra and Bodie Parra; parents Tim and BJ Parra; brother Chris Parra; grandfather Bo Baughn; former spouse and mother of his children, Alexa Corbin Parra; as well as extended family and many, many friends.
Family and friends are encouraged to share stories and pictures to memorialize Michael’s life.
