Obituary for Violet Bennett
Violet Bennett passed away May 13, 2021 in Irving, Texas at the age of 75. She was born to parents, Winston and Ola McLemore September 15, 1945 in Madisonville, KY. Violet was a classic and very put together women. She will always be remembered for her heart of gold and for her incredible strength. Violet was a nurse for 20 years before becoming a full-time wife and mother. She loved her Cadillac. Above all Violet was a loving and selfless wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Violet is preceded in death by her father, Winston McLemore; mother, Ola Faye (Eli) McLemore; and sister, Ferry Webber. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 60 years Gerald Bennett; daughter, Megan Horton and husband Michael; son, Todd Bennett and wife Vickey; daughter, Tina Burton and husband Brian; son, Vanco Bennett and wife Edwina; grandchildren: Elizabeth, Amber, Holley, TJ, Crystal, Corry, Yasmin, Lane, Jade, Violet, Colton, Ahsley, and Isabella; thirteen great grandchildren; brother, Jerry McLemore and wife Linda; brother, Owen McLemore; as well as numerous other loving family and friends who will miss Violet dearly.
The funeral service for Violet will be held 10:00a.m. Monday, May 17, 2021 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home 707 N. MacArthur Blvd. Irving TX 75061. The graveside will be immediately following the funeral service at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens 1413 E. Irving Blvd. Irving 75060.
