Obituary for Tom Dixon

Thomas Ward Dixon passed away Friday afternoon, May 21, 2021 after a brief illness at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. Tom was born on Monday, November 3, 1952 in Dallas, Texas to John Thomas Dixon and Mary Nell Remele Dixon. Flying was everything to Tom. As a young boy he was eager to get in the sky and went on to earn his pilots license as a teenager. His career was mainly spent flying private jets for businessmen, ministers, movie stars and the famous all over the world. For the last 20+ years he harnessed that passion, love and joy for the sky into teaching as a Flight Instructor at CAE.

Preceding Tom in death is his wife Anne Carol Badry Dixon, his parents, and sister Janet Sue Dixon. Left to cherish his memory and devotion to his family are daughter Lindsey Green and husband Bryce of Little Rock, Arkansas; sons Joshua Miller and wife Billie Joy of Waco, Jonathan Badry and wife Sarah of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter Lara Miller of Dallas; son Jared Miller and wife Bri of Mesquite; grandchildren Gracen Green, Harper Green, Ryleigh Adams, Brannon Miller, Avonlea Miller, Jaxton Miller and Roman Miller; and many other loving family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials in honor of Tom Dixon’s love of aviation to the EAA Aviation Foundation. Donations can be made by check or online:
