Obituary for Tommie Lee Mouton (Davis)

Tommie L. Mouton passed away March 25, 2022, in Dallas, Texas at the age of ninety-five. She was born on September 30, 1926, in Brookeland, Texas to parents, James and Edna Davis. Tommie was avid volunteer at First United Methodist Church in Irving with the homeless program. She was your strongest supporter even when you did not believe in yourself. Tommie made a lasting impression on everyone she met. She will always be remembered for her humor, wit, and being a people person. She loved playing bridge, dominos, and poker with her friends. Above all Tommie was a loving mother, and an incredible grandmother.

Tommie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph C. Mouton; father, James T. Davis; mother, Edna E. (Sanford) Davis; and sister, Dortha Clifton. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Thomas J. Mouton and wife Michele; daughter, Jennifer Lynch and husband James “Tony”; son, Rodney Mouton and wife Jane; grandchildren: Carol Ann Mouton, Brad A. Lynch and wife Teresa, Rodney K. Mouton II and wife Luana, Nicole L. Mouton, Joshua B. Mouton, John Mouton and wife Michelle, Mark Mouton and wife Jana and Pamela Minnick and husband Russell; great grandchildren: Jace, Jovie, Luna, Abigale, Mia and Samuel; as well as numerous other family and friends who will miss Tommie dearly.

In lieu of flowers family ask donations in Tommie’s name be made to First United Methodist Church in Irving, Texas, Parkinson’s Society, or any charity of your choice.

Family will receive friends from 10:00a.m. thru 11:00a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home 707 North MacArthur Blvd. Irving, Texas 75061.
