Virginia McCarty, of Irving went to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of March 20, 2023. Virginia was born in Dallas, Texas to George Hardin and Willie Jewel (Combs) Hardin. Virginia graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas. After graduating she began her working career at Sanger Harris and later became the manager for an apartment complex and finally finished her career as owner/manager of Daddy Did It maternity shop. But most of all Virginia was known as beloved wife, mother and grandmother, doting on her grandchildren and cooking family favorites like chicken fried steak with gravy and celebrating the traditional Thanksgiving dinners for 46 years. She was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved the color emerald green and of course she was an Elvis fan. She also enjoyed traveling and eating at nice restaurants.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Venita Hall and grandson Michael Lance Berry. Virginia leaves behind her husband Ed McCarty who treated her like a princess; her daughter Jennie Hollingsworth; daughter Sherrie Beyer and husband Chet; daughter Donna Saffle and husband John; son Art McCarty and wife Soni; daughter Jamie Windle and husband Terry; son Mark McCarty and wife Amy; grandchildren, Clay and wife Chrissie; Reide and wife Katlyn; Alex and wife Michelle; Hollye and husband Josh; Hannah; Banks; Sarah; Kamryn; Allie; Kenzie; Jett; Izzy; and and great-grandchildren, Charli; Dean; Ryot; Regan; Boston and Miles Lance.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00a.m. Monday, April 3, 2023 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home 707 N. MacArthur Blvd. Irving, Texas 75061.
Following the memorial service a reception will be held at Angelo’s 1330 W. Pioneer Dr. Irving, Texas 75061.
