Condolence: As partners in John's life(his brothers and sisters), we share a "common bond of love" for John and our grief because of his passing. So as we remember our childhood days when we roamed the hills and valleys of our childhood place, we thank God for all those precious memories of our beloved Daddy and Mother working together as a team raising their family. We baked daily in the sunlight of their love and devotion. John being the youngest had all of our attention. I remember the day John was born and Mother was so joyful for she now had five sons. There was nothing like her five sons! I know that Mother and John would spend hours talking on the phone about "old times" (family times). Mother now has two of her beloved sons with her Jim and John.

While another link in our family circle has left us, we are bound together in love. The circle will not be unbroken, for you see, the love of our beloved Daddy, Mother, Jim and John will always surround us. We thank God for all our remembrances of them.

In Psa1ms 31: 14-15 we find "But I trust in You, O Lord, I say, You are my God, My times are in Your Hands." John's times are in God's hands. Let us leave them there. God knows John Thorn Long, for He created his innermost being; He knit John together in his mother's womb, (Psalm 139:13). John Thorn Long never lost his identity with God. We do not know the issues of life that John was facing but God does. May God have mercy upon his soul.

Condolence: I have a lot of good memories of John, but I just wanted to say he was my Uncle, my roommate, my co-worker, but most of all, he was my friend. I will miss you John. We all will miss you.

Condolence: It is with sadness that I think of John this morning. He was part of a wonderful family, of which I am fortunate to claim a part. He will be dearly missed by all. I know God has a purpose for everything and I know John is safe in His arms.

Condolence: If you live long enough, you have to exerience the lose of loved ones. I know John will be missed, but he is fulfilling god's plan for us all. God bless you.

Condolence: I always have a problem with knowing what to say at a time such as this. I know there is nothing I can say that will help fill the hole in your lives that was left there by John's passing. I can only say that John made my life brighter each time I had the pleasure of visiting with him, and I am so sad I will never have the chance again. I fully understand the grief the family has at this time, and I can only hope each of you may find peace of mind through Jesus Christ our Lord. My prayers are with you.
