John and I have been friends since we were 4 and 5 years old. He had a big heart and a kind and gentle spirit. His ability to make people laugh was uncanny. My heart goes out to his son Roy, and his brother "Rocky." My memories of John will forever be treasures for me to think back on, as I have so many times in the last few days since getting the phone call. He was " one of a kind" and like no other. I will miss him deeply.
