Beta Beta Sisters
Val loved to drive to Alpha Delta Kappa Conventions and Conferences. She, Sylvia, Thenia, Susan, and I were on our way to Little Rock Arkansas. We stopped in Sulphur Springs at MacDonald’s for coffee. After we left and traveled twenty or thirty miles, I noticed that I did not have on my watch.
I said, “I thought that I wore my watch.”
Val said, “Was it gold with little diamonds?”
“Yes,” I said.
Val said someone found it back there at MacDonald’s and turned it in.
I said, “I am going to call them and asked them to save it for me until we come back this way.”
Val immediately said, “No, we are going back for it right now.”
She turned the car around, and away we went. What a wonderful friend and Beta Beta sister was Val!
