Obituary for James Edwin Witthuhn

James Edwin  Witthuhn
James “Jim” Edwin Witthuhn, of Irving, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2011. He was born on July 10, 1933 to Harold E. Witthuhn and Ruth Irene Lewis Witthuhn in Deer Creek, Minnesota. He was married to Neva Dell Baker of Irving for 57 years. He was an avid gardener, and would give vegetables to everyone in the neighborhood. Jim served in the U. S. Air Force and later was an aircraft mechanic in the aviation industry. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Ted Lee Witthuhn. He is survived by his wife Neva Witthuhn of Irving; son, Kenneth Wayne Witthuhn; granddaughter Mary Elizabeth Witthuhn; grandson Andrew Justin Witthuhn, all of Irving; sisters, Laverne Nickels of Brainerd, MN; Iris Katzke of Underwood, MN; Mavis Becker of Wadena, MN; Debbie Anderson of MN; Marlis Palan of Parker, CO; and Karleen Witthuhn of Lakewood, CO; brothers, Karl Witthuhn of Deer Creek, MN and Steve Witthuhn of MN. Graveside services are pending at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 17, 2011 from 4PM – 6 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
