Richard Alan Young, of rural Stone County, MO, son of Morgan M. and Gertrude V. (Farine) Young, was born March 1, 1946 in Huntsville, Texas and departed this life on December 6, 2015 at the age of 69. Richard had been resident of the Branson, Missouri area since 1980 coming from Harrison, Arkansas. He had a Masters of Humanity degree from the University of Arkansas. He was a retired school teacher having taught in Harrison, Arkansas school district for 25 years. Richard was also a writer and actor. After retiring he entertained in the Branson area for many years, especially at Silver Dollar City. He was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include: his wife, Judy Young of Reeds Spring, MO; a sister Gloria A. Young of Fayetteville, AR and a host of other family and friends. Richard is the grandson of Albert and Rosetta Farine and great-grandson of Nicholas and Jane Mills Farine, early settlers of the Irving, Texas area. A Memorial Service will be held December 17, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Silver Dollar City. Burial will be in Sowers Cemetery in Irving, Texas on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM.
