Wanda Sue Patterson, age 75 and Irving resident, died on May 6, 2015. She was born in Borger, Texas on October 7, 1939 to Edward White and Bess Whitchurch White. Sue received her Bachelor’s Degree from Abilene Christian University in 1962 and was a substitute teacher for 20 years at the Irving Independent School District. She enjoyed spending most of her time with family and was a member of Christ Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Bud White and will be greatly missed by her beloved husband Johnny Patterson of Irving; daughters Erin Hughes of Carrollton and Karin Munro of Lewisville; son Lee Pat Patterson of Dallas; sister Nancy Vick of Amarillo and three grandchildren Zach Munro, Emily Munro and Allison Hughes. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Irving immediately followed by interment at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 9:00 AM one hour prior to the service.
