I went to see Erin and Randy the day after Allison was born.  Sue and Mr. Patterson were also there.  As I was holding Allison, an elderly couple came in and asked me if I was the grandmother.  Dumbfounded I looked at Erin and saw she was doing her best not to laugh out loud.  While I am older than Erin and Karin, I don't feel as though I look old enough to be their mother!

Anyway, Sue said "Excuse me but I am the grandmother."

The poor woman was beside herself and apologized and told us she was having cataract surgery the next week.

No doubt who Allison's grandmother was and will always be.  She was so proud of her children and her grandchildren.  What a wonderful woman.
