Innovator/Gambler

Frank Parra truly was an innovator/ gambler.   Both terms require taking Big steps.    He was the first dealer to hire women as sales reps.  When he moved his dealership from Irving Blvd. to Hwy 183, he added five women to his sales force.......Remember this was in 1974 when the auto industry was a "good ole boys" business........ We were in the restaurant business......life happened and  suddenly I became a single mom.  I shut myself up to fasting and prayer and Frank became that answer to prayer.......After a phone call from him we met and his words to me were, "The car business may or may not be for you, but you will know quickly whether it is or isn't.  If it isn't, don't think you're a failure....it's just not you're thing."      That freed me to learn the business and I was "hooked"...............Forty two years later,I am still in the auto industry where he planted me, in Irving.                With Gratitude and Fond Memories..........Mary Little.
